I use Mozilla Firefox 53.0.2 (64-Bit) with cookies and JavaScript enabled.

The problem is not the notification in wordpress website or the add-block => since I can see the notifications via
    https://wordpress.com/ ‘Followed Sites’
in any of my browsers or mobile devices.

The problem is that I do not get the email notifications anymore after I accidently marked (in yahoo webmail) one email notification as ‘spam’.

I had already once this problem where I accidently enabled a notificaiton as spam. All I had to do was disable and re-enable notification as well under ‘manage’ configure again to see notification instantly…. the problem is I cannot configure this anymore.

    —–
ACK I believe I finally found the problem:
My profile settingNotification SettingsReader Subscriptions’Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com’ was checked.

I will answer if unchecking this helped.

    Yeah! ^^

Would be nice if it only happens after 1-2 emails not reaching when accidently marking as spam. T.T

    Hi there,

Email notifications are automatically blocked only if repeated emails to your address are marked as spam. This usually means your email provider is automatically blocking emails from us that you don’t even know about. Yahoo is known to do that, as is AOL.

Please add our WordPress.com email addresses to your email whitelist or safe senders list, or add them to your email contacts to ensure Yahoo does not keep marking them as spam.

The thing is that the marked as spam lasted only less then a minute!

For future users who have the same problem I did, you need to add the email address ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ as an contact in yahoo so that it is white listed!

It doesn’t matter how long the email was marked as spam. The moment it’s marked as spam we get a notification, and the email is also reported to online services that track spam reports and who can blacklist our email address if they receive too many reports. So we need to do what we can from our side to prevent this, else no one will be able to receive emails from us.

As we can’t control what you or your email provider does, all we can do is to stop sending emails to the address that keeps marking us as spam. And once again, we won’t do this if you only accidentally mark one or two as spam, but only if repeated emails get marked as spam.
