After I transfer contents from Blog A to Blog B, will I still have Blog A ?

    If I transport all of my blog (posts, comments, pictures, etc) from BlogTheme 1 to BlogTheme2 (within WordPress), will the original Blogtheme 1 still be there for me to use if I decide to use it rather than the new experimental theme blog?

    I once hit Activate This to take a look, but when I went back to the original theme, the Sidebars were messed up and I had to redo them,

    This involves going from Andreas09 to Andreas04.

    Yes. The blog will not go away unless you actually delete the blog. If you are going to keep it as a backup, then make sure and mark it as private so that it will not adversely affect blogtheme2. You can then later delete all the posts from blogtheme1 if you wish and use it for something else entirely if you wish.

    Do realize that the widgets issue is a separate issue. If you switch from a three column theme to another three column theme, you should not have any issues, but if you switch from a three column to a two column, you will have issues. You will have to save everything in the widgets in the first blog in a plain text file and then transfer them to the other theme widgets.

    Supposedly according to an email response I got from Matt a while back, there is a big change in the works for the widgets that will make these widget issues virtually non-existent. I’m hoping that will happen with the next major upgrade, but I don’t know if it will or not. It is just a hope.

    Dear Sacred Path…. One thing that happened when I experimented with Andreas09 to Andreas04 is that although they are both 3 column templates, some of the contents of the sidebars were switched from one side to the other side. Anyhow, I decide to make the switch.
