    Hi!

Currently, the only WordPress.com site I see on your account is disputsss.wordpress.com. If I understand correctly, you recently imported posts from a Xanga blog. However, the posts were attributed to disputsss.wordpress.com when you meant to import them into another site. Is that correct? Could you let me know the site address where you were trying to upload the posts?

    Thanks for replys :)

Yes. The old xanga posts has been imported to l0ing.wordpress.com but not my original wordpress account (diputsss.wordpress.com)

Sorry for my bad expression. :P

    Hi!

That site is listed under a different user account. Do you have multiple accounts setup at WordPress.com?

Going forward, the best solution would be on of the following:

    1. If only your Xanga posts are present on l0ing.wordpress.com (it didn’t have any previous posts prior to the import), you can login under your other account and export the file as described here:

    Export Your Website’s Content

Then, you can import that file into the correct site.

    2. If you still have access to your Xanga account, you can login and re-export the site. Then, you can import the file into the correct site.

    3. If neither of the options above work, I may be able to help you retrieve the file. However, I’ll need to speak directly with the owner of l0ing.wordpress.com.

Let me know if you can move forward with either option #1 or #2! If not, I’ll reach out directly to the contact details on l0ing.wordpress.com.

    Hi,

If you do not own l0ing.wordpress.com, then I’m afraid you’ll need to get access to your Xanga export file again to re-upload it to the correct site. Can you try gaining access to your Xanga site again?

    Thanks for reply~

    I see…
I can access to my xanga again. But actually I just don’t want other can see my old posts, just wanna make those posts private or delete it. LOL

I tried to contact with the owner of l0ing.wordpress.com but can’t find any information of the owner……. :(

Understood. In order to remove posts from l0ing.wordpress.com, we would need to first verify ownership of the site. Contacting the site owner would be the best bet to have the posts taken down. Can you clarify how the posts were uploaded to l0ing.wordpress.com if you do not have access to that site? Did you use a computer that was previously logged in under a different WordPress.com account? I’m not quite sure how those posts ended up on l0ing.wordpress.com if you don’t own that site.

First, I downloaded the archive XML files from xanga.com.
Then I just login to my wordpress account (diputsss), and followed the instructions to import it.
On the “Assign Authors” page, I just clik on “SUBMIT” without choosing “assign posts to an existing user:” Like the pic below., just leave it as “-Select-“.
After a few hours, I received an email from wordpress said my posts had been imported. But I can’t find them on diputsss.wordpress.com.
And lastly I found that those posts have been imported to l0ing.wordpress.com

It looks like you may have tried to attach a screenshot to your reply. You won’t be able to attach a media item here. However, you can upload the screenshot here so I can take a look:

    https://diputsss.wordpress.com/wp-admin/media-new.php

Also, do you still have the XML file from Xanga?

    Sorry for the late reply.
I have uploaded the screenshot to https://diputsss.wordpress.com/wp-admin/media-new.php.
    Thanks^^

Yes, I still have the XML file.

    Hi @diputsss,

Thanks for that screenshot! Can you do the following?

    1. Upload the file to the correct site (disputsss.worpdress.com) following the steps here:

    Import a Website

    2. Under the author selected for the import, select a current author on the site.

Let me know once the posts have been imported! I’d like to compare the posts you’re importing with l0ing.wordpress.com. That site doesn’t appear to have any recent activity.
