After installing jetpack, WordPress Popular Posts stopped working
-
Good afternoon,
I have installed and active:
* WordPress 3.2.1
* WordPress.com Stats 1.8.5 (disabled, conflicts with jetpack)
* WordPress.com Popular Posts 2.5.2
* Jetpack by WordPress.com 1.1.3When I view the page, I should have a “Popular Posts” section below “Recent Posts” (left sidebar on the right-hand side of the page). It is not there. When I check the page source I see a <div> for it, but it’s empty.
This worked as expected before I installed jetpack yesterday, I could see the top 10 popular posts listed. Now it’s empty.
I’ve checked online and see a number of other people have run into this as well. What do I need to do to get my popular posts displayed again?
Thank you,
Keith

no, it didn’t.
in fact, I lost the empty div element altogether. When I reactivated jetpack (including reconnecting to WordPress.com) it returned to the previous behavior (empty div element).

no. Yesterday morning I could see
Recent Posts
* list of posts
Popular Posts
* list of posts
Recent Comments
* list of commentsNow I see
Recent Posts
* list of posts
Recent Comments
* list of commentsWhen I look at the source, I see
<div id="wppp-2" class="widget widget_wppp"></div>Unfortunately, I updated all my blogs to use jetpack and cannot show you what it looked like before the update.

If Jetpack is interfering, it should come back when Jetpack is deactivated. Have you contacted the developer of the other plugin?

I have not, yet, since the recent change was from WordPress.com stats to Jetpack.
I’ll try in the morning.
