after my post has been published why, when I go to edit it do the spacings for the paragraphs collap

  Hi Julz.

  But I never had any problems with the text spacing.
  This only seems to have been in the last couple of months.

  Thanks so much for this and all of the other extra information you’ve provided. I’ve read through and noted it all, and included it in my report back to our team.

  And, I am almost finished adding a new post to julzcrafts, which has been done on safari, all on the classic editing page, and looks fine to me at the moment! cross fingers!

  since keeping strictly to the ‘recommended’ routine of making sure I go thro the posts page each time I do any new posts, I have had no more real problems – however, I am still a bit “scared” about revising the posts, and haven’t been doing much of that – so I cannot be absolutely sure whether “this is a fix”

  So thank you for that – it doesn’t however answer the question of why the problem occurred in the first place, or whether it has been fixed by the technical team.

  Despite my attempts to get answers elsewhere, they too have been ignored and I do not feel very confident about wordpress support in general – notwithstanding that you tried very hard to help me.

  I happened to meet an old friend on the street today – ie real meet – smile, and was telling him about this, and it seems that even thro he ISN”T a wordpress blogger, he says he’s inundated with emails from WordPress, giving updates on all sorts of things – Yet I have never had one – not even email notification of the dates of the blogging 101 course I ‘met’ you on – as far as I can see – I haven’t blocked email updates.

  Is this yet another glitch in the system?

  I just thought I’d update you, and it seems silly to keep this thread open – but I was hoping you would let me know what was happening about the tweaks the technical people were making to solve it – because as long as I can’t use any editing link, it has NOT been solved.

  Hi Julz!

  I’m glad to hear that you haven’t lost any more of your formatting while working in the classic editor.

  There’s been a lot of digging into the root cause behind the lost line breaks since we last spoke and we have so far only be able to replicate the issue in the new editor. This is a tricky bug to fix, but the developers behind the new editor are working hard on improving it. I’ll definitely let you know when I hear more about a fix for this particular issue.

  I checked over your settings and can see that WordPress.com are currently blocked from sending out emails to you. If you’d like, you can change this setting by heading Me > Account Settings > Notifications in WordPress.com:
  https://wordpress.com/me/notifications

  Uncheck Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com on that page and Save Changes.

  You can then manage which blogs you’re signed up to receive email notifications from by going to the WordPress.com Reader and then clicking the cog next to Blogs I Follow:
  https://wordpress.com/following/edit/

  Let me know if this helps to clear things up for you. :)

  thanks for the info – it does seem to be taking a long time to sort this problem out….

  just got around to following your instructions – am now getting emails from all and sundry – I follow a lot of blogs for one reason or another – its going to take me ages to go thro the list and set the preferences – but I suppose I might as well see what comes thro from WordPress for once!

  Am doing the A-Z challenge this month – its almost worse than blogging101 – didn’t think it would be so exhausting to work thro a different subject every day – still – it has prompted me to write about stuff I wouldn’t have thought of doing!

  have split up the posts between julzcrafts.com and ‘the spare’ – if you want to see my chicks – smile – they’re on the spare – julzcards.wordpress.com – also some of my old photos – think I’ll put some of the Cardiff docklands shots up when I have a moment – but seems like I won’t have one this month! smile

  thanks – I would really like to know about progress
  as an aside, it seems it was Matt’s programme – did he do the work on it or was it just his idea?

  Since I can’t get an answer out of him – why doesn’t someone tell him what’s happening with it – I’m sure he’d pull out all the stops to get it right – seems to be a case of him not being approachable?
