After purchasing my domain from wordpress.com, why won't WLW publish?

  I purchased my .wordpress.com domain and not I can’t publish from windows live writer or download my theme.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Has anyone else experienced this? I tried updating my URL in WLW with no succes, any guidance would be much appreciated.

  Hi Anne!

  Sorry you’re having trouble. Can you make sure you’re following the steps listed here?

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/#setting-up-windows-live-writer-2012

  I’m particularly referring to the section that starts with “If Windows Live Writer cannot detect your blog settings, a screen titled “Select blog type” will appear.”

  Please give those a go and let me know if you’re still experiencing trouble!

  Hi Jeremy,

  I guess I should have been more specific.
  I am not setting up a new WLW. I have been using it for over a year now.
  The only change has been since I purchased my wordpress.com domain. Now I get this error:

  “Error attempting to connect to blog at:

  https://candycrazedrun.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php

  The underlying connection was closed: The connection was closed unexpectedly.”

  Jeremy,

  I further troubleshot.
  Since purchasing my wordpress.com domain,
  WLW will not publish anything more than a few sentences with of content, certainly no images, or paragraphs of text.

  Sorry for even more information, but the issue appears to be largely with images.

  Even inserting images through WordPress’s “New Post” feature will not upload is they are from a USB.

  Hi Anne,

  Let’s work on the XMLRPC error first. Have you tried changing the site address within WLW to your primary domain (candycrazedrun.com)?

  Please let me know if that makes a difference!
