After updating, Jetpack Subscribe widget no longer works for readers

  After I updated both WordPress (to 4.2) and Jetpack (to 3.5), people who want to subscribe to the blog can no longer use the widget. They click on the button and nothing happens.
  This has been tried out using both Windows and Apple systems in different browsers.
  I did get it to work once, but I was logged into the site. Got an error message but did get a confirmation email. So I went back to the people (two different ones) who had complained and they tried it again, without success.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
