Again: trouble with images on “private blogs”
-
WordPress seems to have issues with hosted images again. Members (including myself) don’t have access to the images. When I try to open one of my images I get the info:
— 403: Access Denied —This file requires authorization:
you must both be a user of this blog as well as be currently logged into wordpress.com
What I am I guess :). I have to log on a lot today (even with “remember me”), hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I started having this problem a day ago and all images on my private test blogs, newer or older are inaccessible and cannot be inserted into a post or page.
I contacted support a little bit ago.

Changing temporarily the blog as public it is possible to see the images and download any file at the Media Library, but when the blog is changed to “private” again, images are not shown and files are not accessible. Are you experiencing a similar behavior?
It seems to be a problem with administration identity when accessing files at the Media Library. -
These issues lasted for a few minutes and should now be resolved. Are you still having problems viewing the images on your blogs?
-
I certainly am still having the problem. I can’t even see the thumbnails in the media library and the images still won’t show up in posts.

Well this is strange, FF 2.0.0.14 Mac, cleared browser cache and cookies, restarted browser, went in and still the images will not show up.
Did the same with Safari 3.1.1 and I can see the images in Safari, but still cannot see them in the editor, preview or in a published post with Firefox.

Since last night I’ve been getting reports that the Tailrank icon (and that icon alone) of sunburntkamel’s social bookmarking icons has been blipping in and out. I noticed it myself on occasion. It seems to be back now, but all those files are presumably hosted together. No idea why one would decide to play hide and seek.

On a published post, with snapshots turned on, even it shows a 403 error when I hover over an image.
-
If I switch from private to public, then I can see the images in the media library, the post, and in the published post.
