Let me try to help you solve this.
Just to confirm, you are saying that when you try to resize your image inside Classic block, you are unable to do so? Can you explain what you get as a result?
Here’s my recording – I want to check if this is what you’re referring to.

Sorry to jump in here. There is another open forum thread on this topic https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/now-unable-to-resize-images-in-the-classic-editor-2/
FWIW I have the same result as @nebojsajurcic in the Classic Block on my test site. After inserting an image with the insert Media icon I’m able to grab handles at the edges of my inserted image and resize it. Using Win10Pro PC and Firefox latest.

Thanks for sharing the link, @justjennifer. I think it’s a good idea to test the modern Block Editor, as many new themes may not fully support the classic editor.
@fgiannang, if you’re having difficulties with the classic editor, we’re happy to help you get started with the Block Editor. Just let us know!

It would seem that the OP’s difficulty is with the Classic Block, not the Classic Editor. :)

@fgiannang I wasn’t able to replicate the issue on your site. Could you please confirm if the issue is still happening on your end, and in that case, share the following information?
- URL of a post or page where the issue is happening.
- Operating system.
- Operating system version.
- Browser.
- Browser version.
-
I confirm: still not able to resize an image inside a Classic block.
No handles to grab appear.

Here’s a screenshot from your account, in the editor for the test page you created:

You’ll see the handles at the corners. I recommend troubleshooting at the local level, that is: device, browser, and network levels. You can start with clearing the cache in your browser and restarting, but it’s also good to make sure your browser and OS are up-to-date, and that you have a high-speed internet connection.

I will do that, Thank you.
I just tried with Thunderbird 133.0.3 (64-bit) → it does work, and the handles at the corners are visible.
So, the problem seems due to the Chrome browser.
I will investigate more. -

Neither does it work with BRAVE browser (Linux version):
→ Version 1.73.104 Chromium: 131.0.6778.204 (Official Build) (64-bit) -
-
The solution is a bit trite:
– with Firefox (Linux version), a single-click on the image selects it → the ankles appear and the image can be resized
– with Chrome, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera (Linux versions), works with a double-clickSolved, then.
Thank you.
