I want to renew the domain site that was originally set up by Violeta Ivanova. I have NO data on the account as she was the friend and the designer, both no longer true. The workshop is free for Veterans and your help is appreciated.

Howdy!
I’m not able to divulge the user account that owns the domain and upgrades. What I can do is send an email to that user and ask that they complete the renewals.

I do not want her to pay for the renewal. It would not be fair.
I want to take over the domain name and pay the fee, if possible.

Hi Roxana –
The original owner needs to transfer the upgrades over to you. Can you get in touch with them about this?
I have sent an email to the original owner explaining this but have not heard back.

Well, this is the point. I was and am the “original” owner, but my friend handled all the technical details , that are completely foreign to me.
I will not be able to reach her or get any information about the site from her.Question: Can I take over the domain without her ok ?
Now or on February 5th ?
If not , I must discontinue this site and look for alternatives.The fact that I received the email about the renewal shows that I’m listed on that site. Please let me know.

The upgrades were auto renewed through 2/5/18. We are not able to release the domain with out permission from the current owner. If you paid for the upgrade you may be able to regain access to the domain by going through our account recovery process https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
