age limitation for entering my page

  Hello, I would like to limit the age of the people entering my wordpress blog because im going to speak about wines and spirits, and the age might be a problem.
  is there a way I can limit the age of the people entering my blog??

  There’s no real way to make sure. But you can request your entire blog be set to Mature. That just makes it harder for kids to stumble across it. I wouldn’t recommend it. Lots of people talk about artichokes, but you can’t get a kid interested in that.

  Thanks!!, I have also been searching and there is an app for wordpress.org that could be suitable, this one can ask you a question like your age before entering, but i am not sure if it can be applied to a wordpress.com page, or if I can transfer all the page to wordpress.org and then apply this application……
  ufff it is a week that i am dealing with this problem……..

  No, that app cannot be used on a WordPress.com site.

  Since these kids are not buying spirits off your website, I don’t see the problem unless by some quirk of fate your site becomes the “go to” site for alcohol information for minors. You don’t really say what you’re going to speak about wines and spirits, it’s a broad subject, and why it would be a problem.

  If yours is a public site on WordPress.com, it’s available to anyone on the Internet.

  I beliebe that at least in USA if you are going to speak about alcohol there has to be an age limitation for entering like i have tested some and the habana club or real sangria that you have to respond to an age question to be able to enter…..

  Actually, as a booze blogger I can say that’s not quite correct. If you are MARKETING alcohol, you have to have an age restriction. Not if you’re just talking about it.

  Then marketing alcohol is what I will be doing, because I’m in the wine business. And I am trying to make my company web page, I will not be selling wine online, but trying to provide info to my distributors…etc
