Aggregating
-
Hi,
I am working on building a set of blogs on WordPress for a client. Is there any way to aggregate the material from all 4 of their blogs onto a master summary blog using specific keywords? (I would not want to import all posts, just posts with specific keywords.)
Thank you in advance!

Edited to add: They are not on wordpress yet. (I am personally.) Researching functionality.
Thank you!

No there is not, it would have to be done manually. Also, search engines do not like duplicate content, and when they see it, they discount page rank on both of the blogs because they have no way to tell if it is a case of scraping, or if they are both legitimate blogs. Duplicating material on blogs is not a good idea.

You could presumably do it on a self-hosted blog using WordPress software, but we wouldn’t be able to help with that; you’d need to look over at WordPress.ORG.

We often see people with similar requests. Usually they want several separate blog topics, and their respective posts, to be contained within Pages on a single blog. This doesn’t seem possible here. A Page on a blog can’t be used as a junior blog.
However, you could have one main blog, with its posts, but use separate Pages on that blog — which on many themes show up prominently above the header — as an introduction to your separate blogs, with a link to them. But then you’d have your readers dancing back and forth between blogs. That’s not really what you want, but it may be the best that could be done here.
