AI content scraping

Apparently WordPress only provides human support for AI content scraping if you have a paid plan. Am I the only one disgusted with this response?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As things stand, I’m left with no alternative but to believe that all the content I create on WordPress is being automatically scraped for someone’s AI. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

As for every website on the internet: you can ask search engines and AI-scrapers not to index or scrape your site. This is only a request but not an obligation.

If you really want to prevent AI-scraping, the only solution is setting your site to private.

The robot.txt is, as you say, is simply a request and is almost overwhelmingly ignored by bots. As for making my site and content private, that basically negates any point to being online. I want to have conversations with people. I want to post information that helps people. I agree to provide free content to WordPress.com because it makes that content available to PEOPLE. I strongly object to having that same content taken without my permission to train LLMs whose sole purpose is to enrich billionaires.
