    hi,
    i got a domain and wordpress made me get a personal plan right away so i did. but when creating or editing the site which right now is nothing I dont have the AI creator available but if i create a new site without a domain just a free wordpress domain the AI help is there. Thanks

    You need a Premium plan to use the AI creator. Using it with the free plan works but to launch the site built that way would need an upgrade from free.

    Thanks for sharing your understanding of how the AI Site Builder works. I’d like to clarify a few points to avoid any confusion.

    What’s correct:

    • The AI Site Builder can only be started during the initial site setup.
    • If a site was not created using the AI builder, it generally can’t be enabled later on an existing site.
    • A valid workaround is to create a new site using the AI with a free WordPress.com domain, and then later map your custom domain to that site. This approach does work.

    What’s not quite accurate:

    • Access to the AI builder is not determined by using a free subdomain vs. a custom domain.
    • Adding a custom domain or upgrading to a Personal plan does not disable the AI builder, as long as the site was originally created with it.
    • The availability of the AI builder is not region-based. There are no geographic rollouts for this feature. While pricing or promotions may vary by region, the AI builder itself does not.

    Important clarification:

    • If you used the AI builder during signup, you will continue to have access to that AI-built site.
    • If the site was created without the AI builder, it generally can’t be added later.
