Akismet abuse

In the wake of a dispute with another blogger, the owner of the Omadeon blog to which I contribute has been blocked as a “spammer” by Akismet in EVERY WordPress blog, including his own. I have every reason to believe that this was the result of a malicious and abusive false spam report by the other party, which has reportedly done this before. What can be done in such occasions? What actions can be taken against someone who systematically abuses the spam report facility in order to silence/censor or harass those he disagrees with?

If you or any readers think they are being caught by Akismet, they can test for it at http://podz.wordpress.com/ and, if so, by following the instructions there to get themselves off the list.
In so far as what actions can be taken against a blog owner who intentionally marks valid comments as spam, how about setting up a competing blog? Good luck!
