Akismet ain’t workin properly on my blog

  Is this happening to others? My blog gets filled with over 2842 spam comments a week and after the number goes into the 2800s then the system becomes clogged and spam posts are missed.

  And support is offline. I have also been getting lots of spam on my own hosted domain, mainly with the same url (some school of some sort)

  Why don’t you delete spam once or twice a week then, to keep it under 2800?

  I do login every other week or so, but this keeps on happening repeatively, and I think it could be a bug or something.

  No IP’s get banned here, so the count is higher than it needs to be too.

  You can ban comments that include the school URL easily enough. Try that.
