Akismet and spam

    What does Akismet do? It seems to spam all comments even genuine ones. Why?? I believe the comments should stay until trashed by the author/ admin.

    The only comment I found on http://atragedyofdeception.com/ – was pure spam

    was there another site you need help with?

    I find Akismet to be quite accurate, last year my site got over 280,000 spam comments, almost 3,000 some days – of those checking 100 comments time twice a day sucked – checking 3,000 would leave no time to do anything

    You can config things to save the old junk – Dashboard >> Settings >> Discussion >> save spam
