  What is the URL of the site?
  Have you consulted the Akismet support links https://akismet.com/support/?

  To save you time we can try to determine relevant details such as which upgrade, which site URL and which username account is this about.

  How many username accounts and sites do you have? Maybe you failed to cancel one and disable auto renew.

  Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. Also, if you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

  @cjgoh my guess is that you signed up to donate — the signup form encourages that because these services do cost money to run. If you’d like a refund, can you log into the account that was charged, and head to akismet.com/contact ?
