Akismet says I have comments, but I don't.

Akismat stats for the year says I had 35 “Ham” (non-spam comments) but I don’t have a single comment anywhere. I’ve never seen a single comment in the approval queue, and I’ve never been e-mailed about a comment. I’ve got Akismet set for “Safe: always put spam in the Spam folder for review.” but even though it identified 8 Spam over the year, nothing was ever in the spam folder either.

We are not sent the worst of all spam to examine because opening it would result in bringing down your blog and perhaps others or in the transmission of malware and or viruses.
Here’s a reality check that’s amazing. The vast and overwhelming majority of all so-called information on the internet is spam. Over 80% of all so-called comments submitted to .wordpress.com blogs every day are spam. There are robotic programs posting spam comments and there are people who are paid to do the same.

That is indeed my blog.
On the Comment admin page you linked I see
“All | Pending (0) | Approved | Spam (0) | Trash (0)” and
“No comments found.”On Dashboard>Akismet Stats, If I select the tab for all year, I get these totals above the bar chart:
8 total spam
35 total ham
0 missed spam
0 false positives
100% accuracy rate“Ham” is explained to be legit comments. I actually have no comments at all on anything.
In the monthly breakdown below the bar chart, It says I should have 9 Ham this month alone.
Also, my spambox is empty, even though I have the setting I mentioned above to hold it set.

Akismet is also checking your posts and revisions, which is why you’re seeing those nine “hams” in your stats for this month.

Oh, and I DID do a lot of editing this month.
Does that mean it’s possible to spam my own blog?
