Albeo… If I want to make too many css-changes, shall I switch to Sandbox?
-
Hey everybody,
I really like the new theme Albeo, but would love to make a good number of css-changes. To be more exact, I’d love to have purple fonts on a black background, and the rainbow-coloured background image should be switched to a different picture.
I have a friend who is not familiar with WP but is a professional web-designer and obviously knows everything about css (while I’m more of an amateour, fucking upthings way too often… and as I don’t want to give WP-support any extra work, I will just ask my friend to help me out). Anyway, my questions are:
– shall I tell her any additional info about WP’s css system, or shall I just ask her to register a free blog here and test the changes I want in the preview of a blog?
– if there are so many changes I want, should I rather tell her to do me an entirely new theme BASED ON Albeo?
. is the oreview any different from the actual blog after customisation? (= is it enough for her to use a prevew to test stuff or shall I give her my password after buying the upgrade-package for my blog?)and a bit offtopic but still belonging to this topic:
– if I switch to Sandbox, can I add those pre-maid free wordpress themes published on other sites, or are those made only for the ones who have wordpress.org blogs?
Any help is very welcome.

For your last question: No. You can never install those themes designed for independent WP here. If you know CSS you can adapt Sandbox to make it look like them.
If your friend is a web pro, she should be familiar with the differences between the types of WordPress, so she should be fine. It sounds to me like you want fairly minor changes to an existing theme. Using Sandbox means you have to write EVERYTHING in the CSS from scratch, not what’s required here.

The preview system works well, so there shouldn’t be any need for her to do the work on your actual blog.
