Hi,
I received an email addressing me by a former name thanking me for a purchase I did not make. I’m concerned for my identity security. Can you look into this for me?Thank you,

Hi there, I’ve tagged WordPress.com staff to help you with this issue. You’ll likely receive a response within a few hours from a staff member: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question
In the meantime, please ensure the email which you received came from an address that ended in @wordpress.com or @automattic.com.
Hope this gets resolved soon. :)

@fthunderheart can you let us know what email address it was sent to so we can look up the account? You can write the address here and our software will redact it from public view so only staff can see it.

Sure thing.
It was to (email visible only to moderators and staff).
It was sent from ” WordPress.com <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>.” With reply-to link: ” (email visible only to moderators and staff).” -

Oh! Okay, yes that is a survey of sorts. It was supposed to go to folks who recently made a purchase, but we made a mistake in this dataset and accidentally sent to some people who had not bought anything.
You’re welcome to disregard that or rate us if you’d like.
