aligning photo to the left of text on front page in twenty twelve

  Hi!

  My blog is:

  I would like my home page to list my most recent posts with a medium-sized featured image aligned to the left of the text. I don’t care if the image is aligned next to the title or under the title and next to the first bit of text.

  The look I am going for is like this:

  Right now for my most recent two posts, I put a medium-sized image inline with the first sentence and then inserted the ‘more’ function. I would prefer that this image only shows up on the home page and not on the post page. Is there a way to hide the first image from the post page?

  Alternatively, is there a way to accomplish this with the ‘featured image’ function? Could I write custom css code to align the featured image to the left of the text on the home page, and then hide the featured image from the post page?
