Alignment of captions on images

  I have just changed my theme to Twenty Sixteen and am inserting images into my posting. When I add a caption it appears in the visual as centred – which is what I find most visually pleasing. When I go to the preview the caption is aligned left which then gives a ragged appearance to the sentence. There doesn’t seem to be any way to centre the caption text. I also noticed that when I right-align an image, the caption spills over to the right side of the image.

  You can add the code below to your CSS tab under Customizer:

  .wp-caption-text {
  	text-align: center;
  }
