Alignment, spacing and font in Jetpack Image widget

  Is there a way to adjust the spacing between the image and the caption text in the Jetpack Image Widget? The caption is slightly overriding the image and adjusting the height does not affect it. Also, is there a way to adjust/change the font? The support page seems to indicate that is an optional feature. How does one get this optional feature? Thanks. Andrew
