ALL comments are published, in spite of certain settings

    I have not checked the box in Settings/Discussion for ‘Comment must be manually approved,’ but I have checked ‘Comment author must have a previously approved comment.’ But, ALL comments, even first-time comments from site visitors, are being published without moderation, and even if the person’s IP address or name has been entered in the Comment Moderation block that is supposed to hold the comment in the moderation queue.

    Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com but instead a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

    We cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. But, I can get you pointed in the right direction.
