ALL CONTENT DELETED FROM MY SITE

I am new to wordpress and yesterday I worked all day to create my website, making sure to save diligently along the way. I had not yet published my site. When I logged in to continue working on it this morning, I was devastated to see that EVERYTHING was gone except my logo, site name and site tagline. Strangely, a new footer with pagination toggles had been inserted.
If I preview the site I can see almost all of what I had worked on, but when I go into the editor, the content does not show. WHAT HAPPENED?
For background, when I shut down my computer last night I happened to clear all the temporary files on my computer. Could this be the reason everything was lost?
I have tried restoring previous versions by loading the revisions, but it only restores the first block. PLEASE HELP!!
I am less concerned with restoring the work (although that would be ideal) and just hoping to figure out what went wrong so that this never happens again.

Are either of those the one where your work disappeared? Did you click “save draft” while editing? There is an autosave, but I tend to double down and manually save things also. This has helped me avoid frustration in the past.

The Cynthia Holler draft page was the one where I lost all the content. I was diligent in remembering to manually save every so often, yes.
It truly wasn’t that much content because I was just learning how to do everything. It was just seven groups, each with two headings and a picture or embedded video. All the images I had added in are still available in my dashboard.
What you can see right now on the Cynthia Holler draft page is what I have started adding back in just now (other than the heading, which was still there this morning and the first block, which I was able to restore via revision history).
As for the other draft, I’m noticing some changes to that as well. I had deleted everything from the template and then added two headings and a bulleted list which are still there. But what I’m just noticing now that elements from the template have been added back in.

Hmm, I’m sorry, I’m not really seeing anything that would have caused it. :(
Would you please let us know if it happens again, and the last block type you added before?

I will let you know, thanks. For now I will copy the code and create a local copy, just in case.
The last block type I had added was columns.
I should add that I was working in the Editor accessible under the appearance tab that seems to be in the beta phase. This is different from the block editor.
