All editing pages are pale, gray
-
Don’t know what’s happened but today all my editing pages are very pale and grayed — as if the California smoke had gotten to them. I checked several. They all look like someone dropped a veil over them. Hope this isn’t some new feature. It’s already tough enough to manage a block editor that isn’t WYSIWYG. And one certainly can’t judge colors this way.

P.S. I just noticed this is only happening with the block editor. Classic editor still looks normal.

NVM. I see now — the active block appears normal and everything else is grayed. Still don’t like it. Active block is already indicated by line around it.

Hi there!
Just a reminder that with your plan, you can access support directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact. That way, you can get help faster.

Thank you. I keep thinking about doing that but am waiting till I feel like tackling a lengthy process with a lot of typed conversation. It will probably try both my patience and the happiness engineer’s.

Hey @windwhistle, Is it possible you’ve accidentally enabled Spotlight mode in the Block Editor?
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/#more-options
Click on the vertical ellipsis on the top right and look there. If it’s enabled, you can disable it there.
If that’s not it, let us know. :)
