All I want to do is delete my blog/account

Hi
I have not used my blog in years and I want a clean start. However when I have looked in the guides/forus/googled etc and I cannot delete my account. I know it advises to go into tools etc but my dashboard does not display tools?! This is both on macbook and on my phone when I downloaded the app. I just want the whole thing gone so i can start again but i don’t understand why it is so hard to do so?! If i can’t find the appropriate tools menu in dashboard or it isn’t appearing then how can I do this?

Do you want to delete your entire blog, as in, remove the entire account? Or do you want to keep the account but empty the blog of all its contents, so you can start fresh with the same blog address, account name, etc?

To delete a WordPress.COM hosted blog you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to navigate to Dashboard > Tools > Delete Site.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
