All Login Plugins break my site
-
I have a set of custom templates I am using to build a theme/app; I am bringing it up from php5.3 and mysql_ commands to php7.1 and mysqli_ commands (a fun learning curve). I have managed to get data printing to the page right for all my header info, but anytime I Activate a Plugin (Ultimate/UM, Mini Orange Social, etc.) it breaks the page.
I am not using any shortcode, and the Pages I am creating are really just containers for the code I wrote long ago. I had it working completely and activated a plugin, then it all bombed with the standard suggestion to learn how to troubleshoot WP issues. I am still able to login via the usual wp-admin form. As soon as I turn one of them on, it breaks, and as soon as I disable it, it works.
I need a user login that does not expose the back end. The menus and links for the UM plugin show up fine and work, but the main page still gives the error.
Thanks!

hmm, I may have found one that doesn’t break it.
I’d still be curious to know if anyone else has experienced anything like this.

Hi @khedrond,
I’m afraid that we can’t help directly because your
akhedrondeleon.comsite is not with WordPress.com managed hosting. As such, we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.Instead, your host uses open-source WordPress.org software, which differs from what we offer here on WordPress.com.
The good news though is that help is available in the WordPress.org forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
Otherwise, you may want to contact Bluehost and/or the plugin authors for further support.
I hope that points you in the right direction.
