All of my old entries have vanished

    Hello,

    A few years back I started chronicling and collecting memories of my relationship with my boyfriend on a private blog (indigoscribbles.blog.com). We’ve been long distance for 2 out of the 4 years and we would write to each other via the blog as well to feel and stay connected. Now, though my account has transferred over to WordPress (for some mysterious reason), all of those journal entries and saved memories are gone – just vanished – and I’m very confused and distraught. Can you help shed light on what might have happened? Is there any hope of recovering those lost documents? Alec and I are crushed that we’ve lost a huge part of our history – stories recorded, poetry written to each other, memories chronicled… Please help :(

    The website http://indigoscribbles.blog.com still exists, and if you are an administrator and have the correct email address and password you may log in here: http://indigoscribbles.blog.com/wp-login.php?privacy=3&redirect_to=%2F.

    This forum deals with issues regarding WordPress.com websites and accounts. The site http://indigoscribbles.blog.com is most definitely not a WordPress.com website. Perhaps it is somehow connected to a WordPress.org website, but if so then you should resubmit your request at the WordPress.org support forums.

    What evidence have you that your private website was “transferred over to WordPress,” mysteriously or otherwise?

    Did you import the content from indigoscribbles.blog.com to a blog here?

    Was indigoscribbles.blog.com deleted by anyone?

    I have flagged this for staff attention – they can look at the history of your blog and logs that I can’t see

    As @musicdoc1 stated, you’ve reached support for the free blogs hosted at WordPress.com. The site you’ve indicated, indigoscribbles.blog.com, is running a self-hosted/installed version of WordPress (using the free WordPress.org software).

    To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. You can read more about that here:

    Since your site is self-hosted with a different provider, support staff at WordPress.com do not have access to your site’s files or the ability to provide support for it.
