Now all I have are framed blank boxes with little red X’s. What happened? Where did they go? Can I get them back?

    Thanks, Scott

I’m assuming you’re talking about your “Client and Garden list” page. I don’t see any images either. Your images seem to be hosted elsewhere (except the header image). If the url of your images doesn’t work even when you paste their link in your address bar and go to it, then your link could possibly be incorrect or you might want to try a different host for your photos.

    Thanks Next…
All of these photos were transferred over to my new WordPress, from Google Blogger.
They were there for this first week, and then vanished. Could it be because I deleted/closed my Google account/blog?

Oh dear! Will I have to re enter all my photos again?

    Scott.

Your images were not transferred, only the links were transferred. So deleting your Google account (if that is where your pictures were stored) makes the links invalid.

The Support article mentions that, but not as prominently as it should, IMO.
    http://support.wordpress.com/import/
If you read carefully, there is no mention of transferring pictures.

Ah yes, that would be the case. The links to the images were still pointing to the images at blogger, so when you deleted that account, all the images went with it.

You will need to upload the images here and then edit all the links to point to the new URL’s of the images you uploaded here.

Do I now have to delete the photo links first and then enter all of my ‘before and after’ photos again?

They were there, and then of course I screwed things up somehow…I’m going to need multiple coctails tonight if I ever expect to do these all over again. Oiy vay!

Oh well, I’ll make sure they come out even better this time.

I would definitely edit out any old image code since it will, even though invisible to the readers, cause validation errors.

My suggestion is to use the add an image function in the editor here to insert the images after you upload them. That will make sure they are properly formatted for wordpress and will not cause any issues.

You might be able to use them as a guide to which photos where by viewing the defunct links. Your images appear to have very non-descriptive names so you may be able to find them by searching for the picture’s number on your computer.

After you upload and insert the image, delete the defunct link.

You have all been very helpful.
