All of WordPress.com suddenly slow?

  So I thought it was just my blog/account (my site went from working 100% fine to being slow to the point of unusable, my dashboard is never done loading). But now I realize that my friend’s WordPress blog is also slow, to the point of not loading, he is having the same issues (we do not live in the same part of the world but both are hosted by WordPress.com, not self hosted.)

  I also notice this forum being much slower to load than usual, but unlike my dashboard it does ultimately finish loading. We checked this on multiple computers/browsers in our house, as well as phones. Only WordPress sites are having this problem for us, including multiple sites on my Reader app. Any other sites we access are fine. Incognito mode or clearing caches is not making a difference. Is there any issue on Automattic’s end?

  I first noticed the issue early this afternoon, and it hasn’t improved.

  Fixed as of 1:15am. Same for my friends’. Any idea what happened?
