all on one line???
-
I recently changed my template to Cutline. Now when I type my posts everything I write continues on one unbroken line, a bar appears at the bottom of the ‘write post’ window as if to adjust the column width. (….very difficult to find the words to describe my dilemma) I like the theme, but I can’t work with it the way it is. It seems that there must be a simple solution. PLease help.

I can’t see a post where this is happening. Can you give us a link to one? If you don’t want that on your blog, just create a Page instead and give us the link, then delete it after we’ve worked out what’s going on.
I see that WP.com is automatically switching P tags to Div tags; maybe you can just switch them back and it might help. You’d have to do that in the Code editor

I haven’t yet published the post.
Here’s the code view of the line that won’t end.It looks like April is the shift into the next degree/space. That means that the pugilist is still stirring things up. Oh well.
What are all those <>pre codes? I know very little. I don’t know why those ‘codes’ appeared.

whoops….it didn’t show up on the forum as I typed it! I’ll publish the post now so you can see what I mean. Okay, done.

Okay, it looks wonky in the extreme. Are you pasting that in from some other program? Because it looks like the code is telling it the width it has to be.
I’d copy the text, paste it into Wordpad using Paste Special, Remove Formatting, and then copy THAT. Paste the copy from Wordpad into the Edit box and it should remove all those funny tags.

You can display code in the forums by pasting it between backticks, those little marks on the same key as ~ that look like `.
Then your code looks like this:
here's your code all readable
