All posts appearing in parent category they're not assigned to
-
My blog is all about city breaks, so I have a parent category set as ‘citybreaks’. I’ve just noticed that all of my blog posts are appearing in the ‘citybreaks’ category page on my website (http://thiscitylife.co.uk/category/citybreaks/) even though in the back end they’ve not been assigned to that category. Only 4 posts have been assigned to ‘citybreaks’.
How do I stop all of the posts showing up on the website? As the main subject of my blog is city breaks and every now and then I post a random subject, I really need to make sure posts about other subjects aren’t being lumped in with city breaks!
Thanks

We provide support only for blogs hosted by WordPress.COM. As that site is not hosted here by WordPress.COM, our support docs do not relate to it, and we cannot provide support for it. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
