  A friend of mine has the blog http://mayesandpryorpolitics.wordpress.com/ . All his posts are now missing. He says he did not delete them. The about page, one comment (of several), and some media files are still there.

  (1) Is there a way these posts could have been deleted without actually moving them to trash and deleting the trash files?

  (2) is there any way to recover these posts? (He did not keep a local backup.)

  I have flagged this for staff attention. There’s a bug going around where there are two versions of blogs created and the posts go to one while the other displays. Just wait till staff solve it.

  @xpda, it does not appear that your friend has duplicate blogs as raincoaster suggested, so it would be very helpful if they would post a support request directly so that we can assist them further. If they tag the post ‘modlook’, then staff will see it and we would be happy to work with them to sort it out.

  I am Gary J. Dean, owner of http://www.mayesandpryorpolitics.com, the blog with the problems. ALL of my posts and comments suddenly disappeared last Friday night, for an unknown reason.

  Bob Webster, at Xpda.com and I are the only administrators for the site. Neither of us did ANYTHING to cause all posts and comments to disappear from the site.

  Saturday I brought my last post back by copying it from Facebook.

  I have not been able to download and install the WordPress application on my desktop, and do not know how to backup the blog, although it is a bit late now!!

  ANY help you can give in trying to recover the posts and comments will be appreciated. It is a very small blog, with not too many posts or comments. It was only started this past February.
