All posts in "Kale" theme lower-case

A student of mine is using the “Kale” theme for her blog and all posts are displayed in lower-case characters, including names that ought to start with a capital letter.

Our students do not have access to any CSS settings.

Why is this – and can it be changed?

It does not seem to make any sense as a default setting because it makes text very hard to read.

  • Hi there,

Can you give us a link to the site in question?

We don’t make a theme called Kale on WordPress.com, so it sounds like the site might have been built using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider. In that case we might not be able to help, but we can take a look at the site and try to point you to whoever can.

    Hi Kokkieh,

yes, you are right that our WP instance is hosted by a private company. I was able to fix the problem after some trial and error. There was an option to set the font display back to “normal” typescript.

In general, Kale seems to be a troublesome theme. Our students also had issues when using Kale + Elementor.

    Thanks for your help!
