All previous Likes wiped in Domain Mapping

  Dear Support Team

  I didnt realise that I would lose all my ‘likes’ in the process of mapping my wordpress blog to a domain I already owned

  Are they still there on the old xxxx.wordpress.com default?

  Can they be transferred over?

  Or do I have to start from scratch? Slightly disheartening as my blog doesnt get much traffic. ‘Peachy’ got 16 likes last week but unlikely to be able to reproduce that second time around

  Wondering if you may have a solution to this?

  Are you referring to Facebook Likes? If so, these are controlled by Facebook and related to the URL, so mapping a domain would definitely reset that.

  Or, are you referring to WordPress.com Likes?
