All second-rank pages do not appear to be eligible as Parent
-
When I want to choose a Parent for a new page, all first-rank pages in the menu appear.
But not all second-rank pages do.
For instance under Le Journal I have only 2 ‘chld ‘ pages instead of 10.
I think this is a new issue. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
For instance under Le Journal I have only 2 ‘chld ‘ pages instead of 10.
I think this is a new issue.I find 10 child pages under the parent menu item “Le Journal.” Are you still seeing fewer than 10?

Hi,
and thanks for your interest. The 10 child pages appear in the menu, yes.
I am speaking about choosing a Parent for a new page: Only 2 appear in my possible choices of Parents for this new page. -
Sorry, for the misunderstanding. Yes, I see what you mean. I don’t ordinarily use the Beep Beep Boop page editor, so I don’t typically encounter this issue. On the admin page editor, every page is displayed in a drop-down menu — I have almost 800. I believe there is a setting somewhere which you can modify to allow more pages to display, but I’ve forgotten where the setting is.

You’re welcome.
Tests on my primary website resulted in only 6 of 796 pages shown as parent page options at either “add new page,” or at previously published page, with the bbb page editor. In a test on another of my sites, the bbb page editor displayed all 8 of the published pages as parent options for a new page.

I am given around 30 choices overall, including 1st and 2nd rank pages. The max of 2nd rank pages for a given 1st rank page is 3, and i can’t see an obvious criteria. Mysterious.
