All sites not loading ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
-
I’m not able to load customizer on any of my sites. I did not load any plugins. And I have tried to switch theme to Twenty Eleven to troubleshoot on one site, but this does not resolve the issue. None of the sites in the account will load, produces ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. How do I troubleshoot? Thanks.

It seems that you have a connectivity issue and may have to check with your ISP for known issues. Have you done that?
1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
2. If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode please disable that mode. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view
3. If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/
(a) Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
If applicable see here for instructions on how to clear the cache for Chrome and Safari on the iPad:
http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/safari-ipad-clear-cache.htm
http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/How-To-Clear-Browsing-Data-In-Chrome-For-Ipad_6.htm
(b) Make sure that you have both third-party cookies enabled and JavaScript enabled
http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
(c) Disable all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily. Know also that security and firewall programs and programs that run incognito mode may need to be temporarily disabled as well.
(d) Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Add both *.wordpress.com and *.wp.com to your list of trusted sites under the Security tab. Make sure to uncheck the box for “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.” http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#frequently-asked-questions4. You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download and install the latest version of flash.
5. Try using another browser.
6. If you are not successful please provide this specific info:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/
(c) Exactly what you experience including exactly what any error reports you receive state.
(d) Screenshots can be helpful. You can use http://snag.gy/ or http://cloudup.com to share screenshots and link to them here. If you use the WordPress.com guide for screenshots http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ you can and upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.Then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. Thanks for your quick response.
So far, I have upgraded Chrome to most recent version and confirmed that flash is up-to-date. Browser cache is cleared, but Chrome is not responsive. I also downloaded latest version of Firefox, but the issue occurs in this browser too.
In the meantime, I switched to IE which does not present the issue. I’ll continue working in this browser until I uncover the source of the problem with Chrome and Firefox. Thank you.

It’s good to know you are up and running. However, we ought to let Staff know exactly which versions of which browsers are not working for you. Please post the version numbers of each one here.

Sure thing. I’m working on an HP Envy desktop PC, but it has a mobile version of browser loaded for use with touchscreen. This is the browser that is working. Some screenshots:

Hey there,
What country are you currently residing in? We’ve had similar issues with other users and are in the process of figuring out the source.
Let me know, thanks!

Glad to know things are loading in IE for you,
Do you happen to have another computer or peripheral device you can try and see if it works?
Since the issue is occurring in Chrome and Mozilla, I wanted to see if you can gather some information by following the instructions on our support page:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/advanced-browser-troubleshooting/#http-headers-in-mozilla-firefox
https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/advanced-browser-troubleshooting/#http-headers-in google-chromeIf the issue still persists, then getting that information from you will be helpful for us to determine the underlying issue.
Thanks!
