all the names i want are taken

    i’m trying to start a new blog for a group i belong to, but every permutation of the group name – first light – seems to be taken. some of them are probably taken by me in past attempts, but i don’t have any of the log in information. how can i see these other blogs, and, if they have my name on them, how can re-access and/or delete them?

    There is no easy way to do what you are asking.

    If you cannot remember the login information for a WordPress.com account, your best bet is to try the account recovery process here:

    But your better bet might just be to set up a custom domain for your site:

    Register a New Domain

    That will give you a lot more options.

    thanks, here’s what happens. i go to set up the blog, and every permutation of “first light,” the name of the organization, appears to be taken. i don’t seem to be able to see any of the blogs with firstlight, 1stlight, etc. how can they all be already taken? i don’t have any of that proof of ownership information.

    Have you entered them into a _______.wordpress.com format in your browser? I was able to view both of those sites and yes, they are taken.
