allow anyone to access my blog

My wife is sick. I simply want to post her condition daily to a site where anyone can inquire I don’t want them to have to be invited . I just want them to be able to do something like http://www.howscarolyn.wordpress.com and end up at my blog in read only mode. I have not been able to figure this out It seem s like you come through a social media or must be invited

Hi Jim,
Your site is public and can be accessed by anyone without invitation. You need only provide the web address to those who would like it so they can find the site and monitor updates. They will arrive at the site in read-only mode and can only see what you have published.
As an aside if you have time it may be worth checking on some support groups for those going through similar situations: Myeloma Support Groups
