  Allow for grouping of categories.

  During the Georgia conflict the categories were: Saakashvilli, NATO, Georgia, Russia etc.

  In the banking crisis the categories are: Banks, Bailout, Meltdown, Paulson etc.

  For each post it is normally the same, or mostly the same categories, but each time they have to be clicked one by one.

  This is already possible by using parent and child categories.
  Make a new category called Georgia Conflict. Then edit the categories that you want to include there. When you have one of those smaller categories you want to include in the big group look for the box that says Parent Category. Choose Georgia Conflict and then save it.
  All posts under the smaller categories will automatically be placed in the group.
