Well as per my blogging experience says i find out that WordPress interfaces are quite splendid and having lotta amnities but only thing where the wordpress much be cautious of is that wordopress do not support the sidebar containing the advertisement .. the most used advertisment accost name Google Adsence is followed in round the globe but only holy shit or the crap thing wid the wordpress is that it do not support the Google Adsence in Free Account…

I request to WordPress and its designing team to sincerly think on providing the permission to use the google adsence on wordpress else most of the people wud shift to Blogger or the bloging site..

I think wordpress should take the action soon as googld had hired he blogger and blogger while try to catch the bloggers via Google Adsence ..

One recent example i wanna affix here wid the abover suggestion is that recently ovre in technical blogger community .out of 53 proffesional bloggers from our blogroll had shifterd to blogger thereby leaving the wordpress only for the reason that Blogger support adsence……….

    So beaware ..

You agreed to a legal contract called a Terms of Service contract in order to get a wordpress.com blog.

No Adsense – No Advertising References:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/search.php?q=adsense
    http://faq.wordpress.com/?s=adsense

This is not going to change. WordPress does offer an alternative for those who wish to monetize their blogs. You can hire a webhost and go to http://wordpress/org and download free software there.

Well out of 53 bloggers in tech bloggers community 39 shifted by the date to Blogger.com.. so its the sign to show concern towards the wordpress.

Let them all go and may they feel blessed to be hosted by blogspot. Blogspot is where 70% of all spammers in the blogosphere have free accounts.

  • Unknown's avatar

Well its not the matter of shifting but its the matter to concern that one should pay attention if u say that Blogspot have the spammer accounts.. then its the wrong way to comment .. just could u tell me what is the harm in joining the hands wid the google or the google adsence.. just tell me what is the harm in that.??

Why not just get the wordpress software from http://wordpress.org and find yourself a host? That way you can have your adsense, not worry about all the hacking attempts and spammers you’ll have over at blogger and you can modify to your hearts content?

That way you can have both your wordpress blogs and your adsense.

This is what you get with allowing javascripts in an unsecure manner like blogger and blogspot allows:

(Sorry, had to take a minute to find it)

Realistically, how much money are most people going to make from their blogs through AdSense etc.? My blog has a Technorati authority of 95 with over 350 incoming links and averages several hundred hits a day; I doubt I’d see more than a couple of McDonald’s meals from revenue per month if I were able to put ads on it. Unless you’re cheezburger, BoingBoing or Scoble you’re not going to be able to quit your day job or even get much pin money from ads; people need to be realistic about their blogging footprint and stop thinking they’re going to cash in with a Technorati rank under 15 for god’s sake. They need to give their heads a shake.

People are better off finding sponsors unless their site is very high traffic like those MySpace glitter sites that get a million hits a day.

A few bucks a month for doing nothing is better than not having that few bucks a month. You rightly point out it’s a trickle as far as an earner is concerned……but once set up, the blogger needn’t do anything else other than enjoy their free beer or two it pays for each month…..and blog as they would have anyway.

Free money is free money…even if it’s not a living wage on it’s own.

There are plenty of other platforms which will allow them to do that, though. I don’t go into a pizza restaurant and start demanding they serve calamari when there are three Greek joints up the road. I think wp.com’s lack of ads is actually one of its most attractive features.

…and why are people constantly entitled to something for nothing anyway?

  • Unknown's avatar

I think people requesting Adsense don’t want to earn a few bucks. They think that having a textads on the sidebar, inside the post or at the bottom page makes their blog to look more cool. hehehe.

My experience has been that more folks think it’s a get rich quick method. And looking at my own wpmu install, nearly every single spammer I’ve had over there has had adsense in place.

I have a number of sites on my servers that trade off adsense space to cover their hosting fees. Makes me about 3 bucks a month on average per site. (Granted though I have quite a few of them)

The sponsers idea up there or using a service like cj.com where one signs up for specific advertisers makes a lot more sense and makes me a lot more money. I get a cut for those sites that I host who have signed up with cj and, trust me, it’s a lot more then 3 bucks a month per site and that’s just my share.

You know what makes me the most money off of adsense? That youtube doanload site I have. None of my other sites are even close to what that site takes in. Like 97% of the total.

drmike, how can I get one of those youtube download sites? Or is that self hosting?

  • Unknown's avatar

That’s self hosting although search my blog and there’s an article on how to provide links for downloading. ;)

  • Unknown's avatar

Which blog? The YouTube download one or your steak one?

Thanks! Is there a way of getting the code and placing it all on a Blogger blog?
