Allow long term Upgrades
-
WordPress.com only seems to allow for annual payment of Upgrades. Having seen many come into the Forum after having lost the billing email or what ever and had their Upgrade go away. It would be an improvement if WordPress.com would allow the Upgrades to be paid into the future a few years.
I have friends that have their Domains out to 10 years. I have mine at I think two years. As someone that has lost or forgot about the billing emails, having the ability to pay forward would offer piece of mind and prevent service interruptions.
thanks

I recommend passing on your idea directly to staff as well via this link → http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact

Except for those that pay for three years of something and then move to self-hosted after a year.
Sorry. :-)

Not at all: as consumers, that is their choice. Presumably they’re not stupid and thus realize they’re throwing away a certain amount of money. If they are stupid, then I’m cool with them throwing away money.

also, helOOOOO I said there was no reason WordPress wouldn’t enable it. That people would pay for services they don’t use is a PLUS for WP.com.

I still think it is a good idea for staff to consider it even though I played devils advocate, or avocado, whichever the case may be.
