Allow non-WordPress-registred people to see private blog
-
Hi,
1. I’m wondering whether it is possible to allow someone who is NOT registred at wordpress.com to access my private blog. I wish to be able to simply give them a password or something that will allow them to view my blog (which is set to private mode, so nobody can see it unless I let them).
2. Where can I see/edit which wordpress-users I have allowed to see my (private) blog? At first I wasn’t aware that the username I should enter had to be a WORDPRESS-username, I thought I could simply make up a username and this would give someone (who knew said username) access to my blog. As this is not the case, I would like to remove the username I typed in a few minutes ago, but can’t seem to find it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

(my blog address is http://lostinaspotlesswardrobe.wordpress.com/, but you won’t be able to see it as I’ve set my blog as private)

You can see who are registered/invited users under Authors/Users in your dashboard.
To make people users, you have to
a) enter the email they signed up with, which will automatically send them an email. You do not enter usernames, but the email assigned to that users account.
or
b) invite them by sending an email directly; they have to sign up for a username which they chose themselves, or use the username they already have.
In any case, users of a private blog MUST be registered with wordpress to see a private blog. -
Thank you very much, guys! And it seems like nobody has been added under Authors/Users, so everything should be okay, then.
