Allow User Registration.

    I’m wanting to allow users to register and post content. I’ve seen a lot of helpful things on this… You know, going to Settings > General > Etc…

    The problem is that I do that, but registration options aren’t there. Allowing people to register, and setting Contributor as the defacto option. It’s just asking about how I want to time to look.

    If I understand you correctly, you want to create a site focused on user-generated content. WordPress.com is not an appropriate choice for that.

    You should expect to budget at least $10,000 to build such a site, unless you yourself are a skilled coder. Security and spam control will be a nightmare, as well.

    Icanhascheezburger.com is hosted here. They pay at least $30,000 a year for hosting in the VIP program. If your traffic justifies it, you can apply for the VIP program and WP.com engineers will help you build the site you are talking about. But as I said, it ain’t cheap.
