How can I allow visitors to download a PDF after they give me their email?

  I want to be able to give away a PDF on my site, but I want to have a record of who requested the download. How can I do that?

  You could create a contact form for visitors to use to make their request: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

  You can keep track of the results in the Feedbacks tab either in you blog dashboard or in your email.
