Allowing multiple choices on a form
-
Using the form element in wordpress.com is it possible to allow the visitor to select more than one item in a field? Ex: A list of cities and user needs to be able to select any/all that apply.
If possible how?

Hi, did you read the support doc on the contact form? http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
-
I did indeed – a couple times actually, but couldn’t find where there was an option that allowed multiple choices. Doesn’t mean it isn’t there, but it didn’t jump out at me.
-
As far as I’m aware, it’s not possible. The contact form here is quite limited, even with the new options.

Thanks raincoaster – I had more or less come to that conclusion. Seems odd that wouldn’t be an option since it’s pretty basic. Ah well …onward!

Rather than the radio box or drop down options, can you use the check box option instead?
-
Unfortunately that doesn’t work either. I ended up using a text box. Visitor will have to type in the info rather than being able to just tic a box. Not the most user friendly approach, but it will at least accomplish what I need.
The form needs to be set up like below and has to be required. :
Contact Field Label: Location Preferences – ck all that apply
Location1
Location 2
etcThe drop down and radio will only allow one choice
Using check box you can’t set it to required since each check box has to be set up individually… .
