Allowing users to upload images?

I’m building wordpress a site that requires a feature that allow users to upload an image that acts like a post (so comments can be made on it etc…)
The interface has to be fairly simple (eg: browse for the image, add your notes, submit) – Something very similar to the amazing kineda.com/lookbook/
Anyone got any ideas?
I was wondering if I’d instead have to use an email form to submit the image & notes to a moderator but this seems liek a lot of hassle :(

The feature I need will be on the lower right where it says “At a Snap”. basically its for users to share their work and get feedback.

Since you are self-hosted and using the software downloaded from wordpress.ORG, you need to direct your question to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ . This forum is for users of WordPress.COM, the free hosting service, and it uses a modified multi-user version of the software which is different from what you are using and few, if any, here know anything about it.
