alphainventions.com – i want out!

    hey, I’m trying to get myself deleted from alphainventions.com – I have no interest in having my site on there, simply because my site is very small and my target market is very minute – fashion, beauty, etc.
    Any promotion I want to do with my site, I’d like to do myself… I don’t want a crappy automated site to do it for me.
    I’ve tried doing alphainventions.com/block but that’s not working, which is annoying!

    Good luck. alphainventions is a little like Hotel California. You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave. (Song by the Eagles if you are too young to remember).

    Seriously, you have to go through them to get out.

    Unfortunately, even going through alphainventions does not seem to work. The option on the site, to have your blog removed does not function, and even sending emails does nothing. I have sent five emails so far, and I am STILL showing up on the site. I did not ask to be a part of the site, and I find the a lack of asking for permission, along with the lack of any action to remove blogs at our requests, to be beyond bad manners.

    I want out, too!

    It includes what appear to be comments from the site’s owner.

    Note that this site is not related to WordPress.com and we have no control over it.

    Thank you ranh. I have read the other forum threads on this topic. It was how I found out about the ’email’ option. It is just such a shame that even emailing does nothing. I have been in contact with Support here. I did receive a very apologetic letter from one of the lovely members of the team saying pretty much what you have just said; that as the site is not related to WordPress, you don’t have control over it.

    Unfortunately, that’s all we *can* say. It’s just one of those unpleasant aspects of the way the web works.
